The other day I found the following sentences in my diary, which were taken from the Autobiography of St Ignatius: ‘’He made a solemn avowal…that his devotion, that is, his ease in finding God, was always increasing, now more than ever in his entire life. At whatever time or hour he wanted to find God, he found him.’’
During my formation, especially when I was busy with studies it was sometimes difficult for me to find God. I knew my studies were in preparation for my future ‘MISSION’. I spent uncountable number of hours, sitting at my desk either reading or writing for exams. Sometimes interesting…sometimes frustrating. I would often dream of my regency and would plan of my work, though I was not sure of my work. To my great surprise I was assigned in the formation house to assist the director for my regency. My work demanded me to be with the pre-novices (they were preparing to enter novitiate) all the time. My task was to accompany them. Though initially it was a bit boring sooner I found it very interesting. It made me feel happy when I saw that the pre-novices were growing in different areas of life. My little contribution helped them in their life journey. There I found the meaning in life, the joy of giving my time and talents for others. Like St Ignatius I felt,
at whatever time or hour I wanted to find God, I found him…
